Guillermo Gamba Posada.
Guillermo Gamba Posada was born in Bogotá, where he studied at the Colegio Nueva Granada and the Anglo-Colombian School, both bilingual schools in that city. He graduated as a lawyer at the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Bogotá in 1969 and later pursued post-graduate studies at Harvard University in Boston Massachusetts, where he graduated as Magister in Legibus in 1973.

He has been professor of law at the Colegio Mayor del Rosario, the Universidad de los Andes and actually teaches at the Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración, CESA in Bogotá.

He has been practicing commercial law, including domestic arbitration and state contracts since 1968 and international arbitration since 1990. He was a member of the law firm of Ramírez Ocampo y Asociados, between 1968 and 1977. In 1977 he founded Esguerra Gamba y Asociados (today Esguerra Barrera Arriaga), presently a well-established, where he remained until 2006, when he founded Gamba Posada y Asociados.

Ha has performed as arbitrator for the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá in more than 20 domestic arbitrations and has acted as president and sole arbitrator in several ICC arbitrations. He was one of the first Colombian members of the London Court of International Arbitration.

His practice includes corporate and commercial law for domestic and foreign companies in Colombia.
